Actor ALEC BALDWIN is planning to tackle California’s “dysfunctional” custody laws in a new book after settling his latest court spat with ex-wife KIM BASINGER.
The movie star dragged Basinger through the courts in Los Angeles in November (05) and earlier this month (DEC05) fighting for more custody of their daughter IRELAND. And, although he has agreed a settlement with his ex, Baldwin is still far from happy.
In court, the actor claimed Basinger has been trying to turn his daughter against him and violated a previous court-imposed visitation agreement this summer (05).
He says, “The specific details of what I’m going through, we’ve been instructed by judges, past and present, to not discuss that with the press. I’m in the middle of making a deal to write a book about it.”
In the book, Baldwin plans to attack the system and how father's are discriminated against.
He claims the law is stacked against civil conclusions, adding, “Conflict resolution for people is the last thing on the agenda.”
What are all of your comments and opinions out there regarding such a book?

I personally have several books on my list that I have a hrad time getting to. I believe a Documentry video would be more effective. But what is the goal? Is it to educate the public or to make a profit from valuable knowledge?
I would love to assist in research for a documentry the awakens the masses to the fraud in any court system and the Godless society. Alec,
Where do your rights come from?
If you believe in God and the constitution then you should accept the rights from such.
If you do not then you are simply involved in nothing more than a struggle for power between you and the courts over who is entitled by their mercy to recieve such rights.
THE ONLY LEGITIMATE FUNCTION OF GOVERNMENT for a religious people is to protect such rights that come from GOD not from the courts as such actions are illegal and will bring conseuences if not from the courts at a much higher price from the Creator. We as fathers are obligated to awake the masses, but as single "acussed" and simple economic creatures we can not do as much as Dennis suggest by working together. A society full of divorce most would agree is sad and disturbing but a society of fatherless children or children with minimal contact and influence is even worse. Am I wrong?
For a better understanding of foundational rights all citizens should be aware of Freedom Principles such as those tought at

Yes I would read this book. This is our chance to be heard if this book gets enough support etc.
Why didn't you try to contact Alex Baldwin about your methods ?? ; - )
But seriously, it seems he might have really found your info helpful..
I think his idea for a book is great, that would defnitely be interesting.
I wonder how many of us would be able to hold up under the same public scrutiny as Alec did if our divorces and child custody battles were aired in the media. If you've ever been in that position you would know the deep frustration and emotional dismay caused by that situation. You could hear it in his voice. Although no one would condone his behavior publicly any father who's ever been there can certainly feel his pain.
Early on in my divorce I read up on Parent Alienation and I was able to bypass the situation Alec fell into. If it weren't for fathers rights organizations like the NBFR and others I would have found myself in a similar or worse position as Alec did.
Most of the divorced fathers I spoken with would much rather stick their heads in the sand and take whatever they can get as opposed to fighting for their rights as fathers and American citizens. Truly sad!
Divorce with child custody is truly a sick twisted American game. The courts ordering Baldwin to silence is to be expected. I hope with his book he can bring the insanity into the spotlight and bring about change.
I totally agree with the above statement.

I commend Baldwin for voicing his opposition against this biased system so strongly in the media. I hope that his actions help pave the way for other cases and bring to light the child support/custody bias against fathers to everyone. It is so ridiculous. I am in WA state and I thought this state was the most biased in the nation and am realizing it is everywhere. I just read about the guy that is ordered to pay child support and back support for a 15 yo child that isn't even his and has the paternity test to prove it! The courts still will not throw it out because of their bloody bureaucratic idiotic ways! This is unbelievable and something has got to change~and they wonder why there are so many deadbeat dads, because the deadbeat moms make them that way!
